Shi'ite: Not All Dominated By Iranian Psychos

Mona Fayad is a Shi’ite. She is also a Psychology Professor at Beirut University. Fayad recently wrote an essay scathingly venting her frustration with Iranian dominated Hezbollah. You need to read the report on her brave essay.

I am of the opinion that Mohammedanism is a dangerous religion. Looking at the whole it will take a lot of convincing to change my mind on that subject. On the other hand, I am fully aware that there are some bold Mohammedans that wish to transform some of their belief systems to twenty-first century thinking.

The difficulty I have with this is that would lead to a disregard of certain Mohammedan scriptures and traditions within their Quran, Hadiths and Sharia. This is somewhat comparable to what secular humanists have succeeded to do with Christianity to degenerate Christian Morality.

I have to admit secular humanism has probably enabled actual Christian doctrine and Scriptures of peace and tolerance to be more operational in Western Society. However, secular humanism has also enabled the acceptance of immoral practices such as homosexuality, adultery, pornography and so on.

I do not see liberal intellectual elites of Mohammedanism engaging successfully much change or transformation upon a lifestyle viewed sacrosanct by moderates and extremists alike. And yet it is gratifying to see a female Shi'ite stand up those who probably kill her for her views. I consider Mona Fayad an extremely brave woman indeed.
