Adbel Karim is an Egyptian Blogger critical of radical Mohammedanism. His blogs have landed him in prison. Now his father is prepared to disown Abdel Karim. According to the Religion of peace’s Sharia Law, if Abdel Karim does not repent, the penalty could lead to a death penalty.

I can't remember where I read it but I found out that Abdel Karim's fate has been sealed by sharia law.
Fortunately he avoided death, but he may choose death. I believe his sentencing went like this:
two years for offending Islam and an extra year for insulting President Mubaruk.
Eygptian prisons are known to be among the harshest on the planet.
So goes the religion of peace.
