Guardian Reports 70% Approval For Ahmadinejad

This is some what a follow up relating to the call by Hossein Khomeini. The young Khomeini had called for America to invade Iran to liberate Iranians from the oppression of the current regime. You would think the grandson of Ruhollah Khomeini would carry some wait in Islamofascist politics in Iran.

Unfortunately that does not seem to be the case. A news story from the Guardian Unlimited reports that Twelver Ahmadinejad has a 70% approval rating among his people in his nation.

Can you imagine the political backlash that must have on America's choices in protecting her National Interests? SEVENTY PERCENT! That is a huge obstacle in trying to get Iranian dissidents to rise up to throw off their oppressor. Indeed, those kind of numbers would indicate their little perception of oppression from the majority.

If America is forced to make a choice of military operations against Iran, the result will be a bloody war. America will need to choose its strategy according to how much the Iranians love their President and their Imams. A soldier invasion would will be ugly. American forces would have no choice but to inflict huge collateral damage on civilian populations that would rise up to protect their homeland and their leaders.

Hossein Khomeini is an irrelevant voice in all this hostility.
