Ukraine Sells Iran Strategic Stealth Radar Systems

I guess I have not been paying attention. Ukraine is selling a radar system capable of detecting America’s stealth jets to Iran.

Russian industry sources said the Ukraine has sold an undetermined number of Kolchuga anti-aircraft radar systems to Iran. The Kolchuga passive-detection systems are capable of spotting enemy aircraft up to 800 kilometers away.

The sources said Kolchuga would enhance Iran's air defense umbrella. At least 10 such systems were sold at $25 million each, they said.

The Kolchuga is believed to be the most advanced long-range aircraft detection system in the world. The radar is capable of detecting the take-off of aircraft, identifying weapons systems, and relaying them to anti-aircraft missiles. Kolchuga, which tracks radio emissions from enemy aircraft, is interoperable with a range of Russian-origin surface-to-air missile systems, including the TOR-M1 and the S-300PMU, both of which have been sought by Teheran.

It does not seem like it was too long ago that America was supporting a pro-Western candidate to the irritation of Russia. Has Ukraine come back under the influence of Russia and Putin?

Iran is one of the leaders of an emerging autocratic group of nations that are an axis of evil confronting Western and American interests. I am certain that America would have aided in any black mail by Russia relating to natural resources Russia is holding up.

It is very likely America and Iran will meet in some form of military exchange. Iran has not budged one iota relating to enriching uranium. It is obvious a nuclear weapon is their goal.

A nuclear weapon in the possession of such a megalomaniacal nation as Iran is an insane proposition. These kinds of Mohammedans are offended by cartoons. Can you imagine a nuclear strike being launched because of an offense over the Western values of free speech?

I cannot even comprehend the reason as to why Ukraine would sell such stealth detecting technology to Iran. How can a nation learning democratic institutions with the support of America betray America in such a way? This Ukraine action is closer to Russian antagonism than to American democratic thinking.
