Seventh Grader Threatened By School Officials About Reading Bible

The Rutherford Institute does the opposite of the ACLU and CAIR. RI takes up Christian causes and fights for the rights of Christians to practice their faith.

The RI mission statement does not read that way. Reason: the doctrine of "Political Correctness" would regard taking the side of Christianity as prejuidice. Point of fact though is the RI is America's David to secularism and Mohammedanism's Goliath.

Anyway ... Here's the deal: Maryland school officials threatened a seventh grader with heightened disciplinary action if the student continued to read their Bible during their free time. The free time turns out to be lunch time in the case of the seventh grader.

The thing that makes secular intimidation even more heinous is that the official school policy is not to interfer with reading religious material during non-class room activities.

Read the whole issue at the Rutherford Institute.
