Will Bush Attack Iran Over Nukes?

I am certain an attack on Iran will come sooner or later depending on the outcome of President Bush's speech at the United Nations as well as the outcome of President Ahmadinejad's speech shortly thereafter.

If Ahmadinejad continues Iran's stalling tactics to utilize Western diplomacy against the West, then Iran may succeed in building a nuke WMD. The longer President Bush waits to take action on Iran the more impotent he is to activate a said action. Why? Know matter, who wins the American Presidency in 2008, it will not be President Bush. The closer a lame duck President comes to the end of his term of office; the less likely he will be to make dramatic decisions that may affect the course of America (and the world).

I am certain that is Clinton's secret excuse for not honing down on bin Laden and Al Qaeda in the couple years before his term ended.

The lame duck President, whether the he is Republican or Democrat, knows his Presidency is judged by his last act (good or bad).

For example: President Kennedy initiated American involvement in Vietnam. Kenney placed the foundation for Civil Rights legislation and Supreme Court adjudication. President Johnson actually carried out the Kennedy plan for the Civil Rights movement and its enforcement. But what is Kennedy and Johnson remembered for? Kennedy is remembered for his light of freedom and staring down the Soviet Union at the Cuban Missile Crisis. Johnson is remembered as the blackard that increased military involvement in Vietnam forcing him to only run for one term as President because of the public outcry.

If there is an attack between now and 2008, I will be surprised. It needs to happen for a safer world, but I doubt that it will.

The only way it could happen is if some European powers join in the Iranian attack. If Europe does not come to its senses look to a Republican President to attack or a Democratic President to open the wound of weakness further. A Democratic President most assuredly will result in the worse brutality the world experienced since WWII. The reason for that is the fear of War and Appeasement.
