Is an American Attack on Iran Looming?

Here is a story that really has no support from the Mainstream Media (MSM), however the existence of the story is something that is in tune with a feeling I have had for some time: An American attack on Iran.

I have noticed
even European nations are beginning to consider extra-diplomatic options on nuclear arming Iran.

Note the story about Iran emphasizes there is not a consideration of invasion but of a massive naval and air assault on Iran. This is something I have advocated in the past as the safest way to engage Iran then look at the Iranian reaction. Iran has promised a brutal reaction to any attack; however can Iran come through with such a threat after its economy and oil production is threatened?

I do think that Iran is nuts enough to launch some kind of reprisal but I don’t think a frontal military response is the Iranian cards. Like the rogue nation that Iran is, the only serious reprisal to an American assault would in the form of terrorism. If that happens, then America will have the option for another assault to teach another military power lesson.

There is also the possibility that geopolitical experts have deemed to much credit to the verbal warnings of the Iranian Mullocracy. Iran may publicly back down then clandestinely attempt to disrupt the globe through subterfuge with a less of a trail to Iranian culpability (even though everyone will know who is culpable).

At any rate the closer the 2008 elections emerge in America I believe the less likelihood of an American attack unless there is a political miracle and the Republicans and Democrats secretly cooperate to attack no matter who wins the Presidency in 2008.
