Why the Democrats Won’t Win
I just read an article by Victor Davis Hanson that explains why the Democratic Party will not retake Congress in 2006.
The things that hit the bread and butter of American lives are looking up. That leaves the Democratic Party hoping for disaster in Iraq. With that in mind, look for the Democratic Party allies in the MSM to push the propaganda machine of negative news on the War on Terror. It is becoming the evident the "Bush Lied" mantra is irrelevant now that pockets of chemical WMD have been located.
That leaves scandal as a weapon. Libby has not been convicted of any wrong doing (and I doubt that he will be). Fitzgerald has realized there is not enough to go after Rove. Although DeLay has left Office, not even he has been convicted of anything. In fact the liberal State Prosecutor that is after him is struggling to keep the case from being dismissed. The Democratic Party has emerging corruption scandals to deal with. In fact, the cases in Democratic Party scandal have a lot more meat that is provable in courts than ANY of the Republican indictments that have lingered on for years without results.
I am with Hanson, the Democratic Party will lose. The electorate will grow weary of the duplicity of Democrats and the MSM. Their own propaganda will sink them like the Titanic.
