Gingrich Talks Tough

Wow! Newt is sounding Presidential in my book. This is the first Republican that I have read that actually perceives that decisive action needs to occur to win the war and discredit Islamofascism.

Newt has sent out his July 17 e-newsletter (click Newt is sounding Presidential). In the newsletter Newt writes that we are in the midst of an emerging third world war. (Some would argue it is the fourth global conflict, but that is another story.)

"While I have addressed the nature of this threat before, I believe the deadly attacks that have recently been carried out across the globe and the plots of mass murder that have been uncovered recently in our own country and abroad reflect a scale of challenge much larger than we currently recognize. So much so that I think an analogy to the two world wars of the last century more accurately explains where we find ourselves today."

These are pretty bold words to set forth in a world that liberals, Leftists and even some Conservatives live by what is "Politically Correct." Newt's newsletter says it is time to get on board to protect civilization as we know it and be decisive (That is my interpretation, I pray Newt agrees with it).

America and the rest of democratic West need to unite as one front to confront Islamofascism. The West can haggle over socialist VS market or secular humanism VS Faith on another day. An agreement that Islamofascism must be dealt with is of vital importance in order to neutralize the death-cult.

I am not a Presidential candidate so I can say these things. I am just a right wing Christian Crusader/Blogger (yes Mohammedans I said that) which perceives what is the actual threat to Western culture and civilization.

I am not a McCain advocate; however I was not sure who I would support in 2008. I was leaning toward a person who has disavowed running for President to date (Condi Rice); however if Newt keeps up this rhetoric he is the man for 2008.
