Olmert and Kadima Failure

The former head of Israel’s research branch of Military Intelligence Major General Ya’acov Amidror publicly delivered a scathing denunciation of the failure of the policy Olmert utilized to leave Gaza. That policy was initiated by Ariel Sharon and was perpetuated by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Olmert has committed to disengage from the West Bank and possibly dividing Jerusalem in the future.

The current crisis in Israel is discrediting the "Disengagement" (coined by Ariel Sharon) or "Convergence" (current Prime Minister Olmert's term for the same thing) policy of the Kadima Party. Giving land for peace is Appeasement pure and simple. Appeasement is a proven failure as a political option. Appeasement merely wets the hunger for more and more concessions. In the case of the Palestinian-Arab terrorists, concession leads to cessation of Israel's existence.

There will never be a "Politically Correct" settlement that will ensure Israel's sovereign existence. The West will have to commit to back the last chance (politically not theologically) for Jews to have a land to live in which they will not be persecuted for their faith. OR the West will have to go swing and support Mohammedan goals of ending Israel's existence. Neither choice is "Politically Correct." Maintaining the status quo is something that will perpetuate violence and death in Israel until Christ comes.
