British media reported earlier today that Russia sent two war planes toward British airspace. The Russians came so close that the British Royal Air Force (RAF) dispatched war planes for a possible encounter of the military kind.
British media believes Russian brinksmanship was to show the OLD BEAR was not to be messed with because they still have some bite in their teeth. I am referring to the ongoing investigation of the assassination of Alexander Litvinenko and the British indictment of Russian Andrei Lugovoy. Lugovoy is accused of the assassination and want Russia to extradite him to stand trial. Putin and Russia has refused.
Russia lack of response to Britain is a reminder of the old Soviet days of the Cold War.
The makes one think: How much has Russia been involved in geopolitics to undermine Western and American stability? Russia was highly involved in disallowing the invasion of Iraq. Russia is suspected of the Intelligence Act of the century: the clandestine removal of all smoking gun WMD from Iraq – a smoking gun by the way that might have led to a connection to Putin’s Russia (Putin was doing a possible service for France and Germany in covering any military tracks they may have been involved in).
A fellow Blogger from Yahoo 360 (Delete France) has even gone so far as to suggest that Putin aided al-Qaeda to start a global conflict. If that assessment is off the wall to some, then why is Putin being so cagey about a missile defense shield in Eastern Europe? Something is certainly up! There is simply so much behind the scenes geopolitics and clandestine playing reminiscent of the Cold War, it is hard to tell what the big picture is.
Frankly I suspect Islamofascists may indeed might be the pawns of Russia and possibly China in a mysterious grand design.
O yes the Russian response to the war planes skirting British Air Space:
Sounds like plausible deniability to me: The standard “prove it” answer.

O yes the Russian response to the war planes skirting British Air Space:
Reports that Russian bombers were flying towards British airspace are untrue. The long-range aircraft were on a scheduled mission over international waters," Col. Alexander Drobyshevsky quoted Col.-Gen. Alexander Zelin, Air Force commander, as saying.
Gen. Zelin dismissed as rubbish speculation to the effect that Russian bomber flights were linked to an ongoing diplomatic flap between the two countries. (Russian News and Information Agency – NOVOSTI)
Sounds like plausible deniability to me: The standard “prove it” answer.
