Russia Re-builds Old Communist Relations in Latin America

Russia may not be the Communist Union of Soviet Socialist Republics any more; however it is clear the Russian government wishes to challenge world’s example of the longest constitutional democracy in existence, i.e. the United States of America.

Russia is aiding Iran toward nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Russia is contacting old Communist buddies Cuba and Nicaragua about financial and weapon aid. There is a hint of a
Russian military base being established in Cuba. Apparently the placing of a (spy) satellite launch base is even closer to a certainty in Cuba.

Venezuela and Russia are or have engaged in recent naval joint war games in the Caribbean in which Russian vessels and aircraft probably carried nuclear weapons.

Now Chavez and Putin are talking about
building nuclear plants in Venezuela. And just like Iran, the claim is for peaceful nuclear energy. Only doofus would believe that any more than Iran’s hot nuclear program is for peaceful nuclear energy.

I am certainly not an expert on ideological state of affairs in Russia, but I am guessing the old ex-KGB Putin is closer to the Communist ideology than any other political thinking.
