Well I was checking some old email and discovered that Alan Keyes has announced he is running for the Republican nomination for President.
Now here is a guy that some serious conservative credential and not only is a part of the Christian Right, Keyes is extremely to the Christian Right.
I like Keyes however the man is unelectable. He is beginning to get the Ralph Nader stigma: Every Presidential election that comes along in which a Republican is not in Office Keyes signs up for the election race.
Also Keyes is too Christian to appeal to Middle American voters. Conservatives and Liberals have different interpretations of the “Separation of Church and State” concept nonetheless both sides subscribe to the paradigm.
The faith of Keyes is endearing to me but it raises red flags to voters of imposing Church Doctrine rather than political solutions. Too bad, America needs a healthy shot of religion to counter Secular Humanism which thrives on the Church/State paradigm.
Keyes also has some quirky ideas that you can read about at World Net Daily that also will make him unelectable even though they are of an honorable nature.
