Five-thousand dollar high tech parking meters are beginning to emerge in the big city.
The upside: it takes coins and credit cards; thus the empty pocket is no longer a problem (but I guess the sanctioning of government imposed debt is ok).
The downside: Sensors track when cars come and go adding a camera to photograph your license plate; thus Big Brother can track you down if you did not pay or went over time paid for.
