Gonzales Said He Would Quit in Raid Dispute

Attorney General Gonzales and Deputy Attorney General McNulty and FBI Director Mueller were all prepared to resign rather than give criminal evidence appropriated by Search Warrant served on Representative William Jefferson (Dem.).

President Bush in statesman-like fashion sealed the evidence for 45 days for the Justice Dept. and Congress to work out a deal on future Congressional searches.

This border's on the ludicrous for Congress to maintain they are above the law when it comes to the investigation of felonious crimes. It is the high point of hypocrisy for Democrats to protect Jefferson while proclaiming the Executive Branch must utilize Search Warrants in time of War against terrorists on American soil.
