There were four perpetrators of evil: Russell Defreitas (U.S. citizen but of Guyanese origin), Abdul Kadir (Guyanese citizen and former member of Guyana Parliament), Kareem Ibrahim (Trinidad citizen), and Abdel Nur (Guyanese citizen). Defreitas was arrested in Brooklyn. Kadir and Ibrahim were arrested in Trinidad. The U.S. government is trying to work out an extradition from Guyana of Abdel Nur.
