Arab bloc urges UN action against Israel

This is a bunch of bologne! Palestinian terrorists are launching Kassam rockets into Israel and the Arab bloc urges UN action against Israeli defensive proceedures. I can feel the blood rage in my veins as I read this hyprocisy.

Arab bloc urges UN action against IsraelIsrael maintains efforts to end terror from GazaAmbassadors to the United Nations from the Arab states convened Monday at the UN's New York headquarters to discuss strategy concerning the escalation of Israeli military strikes against Palestinian targets, Ha'aretz reports. The ambassadors petitioned the UN Security Council to take unspecified action against Israel saying that the 15-nation council "in upholding its duty to maintain international peace and security, should take action."

It is unlikely that the Security Council will take action against Israel. Instead they will most likely issue a presidential declaration regarding the matter, taking into account the recent increase of Kassam rockets launched at Israel from the Gaza Strip.

Since last Friday, IDF troops have killed at least 18 Palestinians in Gaza, mostly members of terror militias but including several young children, with more injured. Israel has reserved the right to strike at Palestinian terrorists bent on carrying out attacks against Israel, saying that the action in Gaza is geared to putting a quick and complete stop to rocket attacks on Israeli territory.

UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan issued a statement over the weekend expressing concern about the increasing violence on both sides, including Palestinian rocket attacks on Israeli targets and the resulting Israeli reprisals.
