A Nuclear Armed N. Korea and Iran World

North Korea has successfully test detonated an underground weaponized nuclear device.

President Barack Hussein Obama has termed this North Korean act:

President Barack Obama called the moves "blatant defiance" of the Security Council and a violation of international law that would only further isolate North Korea.

North Korea's claims "are a matter of grave concern to all nations," he said, calling for international action in a statement from Washington. "North Korea's attempts to develop nuclear weapons, as well as its ballistic missile program, constitute a threat to international peace and security." (Yahoo-AP)

So I have to wonder: What does President BHO intend to do about the nation that President GW called one of the axis of evil? As a memory refresher the axis of evil were originally Iraq, Iran and North Korea. The Iraq leg has been taken down perhaps to be replaced by a Syrian leg. Excerpts from Egypt’s Government Daily Al-Gumhouriyya show a moderate (so-called) view of Syria’s involvement with an axis of evil. The Arab view does not include non-Mohammedan North Korea but other possible Mohammedan nations supportive of Iran’s agenda. The key is that Syria is a leg of the axis of evil and that Iran is the puppet master.

So where is Iran getting a lot of its ballistic missile technology? That would be North Korea. If North Korea is building a ballistic nuclear missile system be assured that Iran is also.

President BHO’s condemnation of the North Korea test nuclear explosion implies that the United Nations will do something about the rogue nation. Will that happen?

It is unlikely! The United Nations is a toothless tiger that brings aid and comfort to autocracies (particularly Mohammedan autocracies) and condemns Western style democratic Republics for not towing the globalist dhimmitude of anti-Israel and anti-Americanism.

The only teeth the United Nations possesses is in the Security Council. In the Security Council the teeth are only shown when there is an unanimous agreement among the permanent members which include the autocracy of Red China and the transitional autocracy of Russia.

North Korea is a client state of Red China and of the formerly Leninist/Communist Russia. Presently the state of being a client is more toward the former than the latter.

Does President BHO really think that the Security Council will really do anything substantive to punish North Korea for breaking all sorts of treaties and international protocols? If President BHO believes that, he is a foreign policy moron.

The real global problem is that psycho North Korea actually is a nuclear deterrent for any nation let alone the toothless U.N. to do anything about North Korea’s global destabilization. North Korea has even warned that any direct action to stop its weapons grade nuclearization will be met with retribution that will first be aimed at South Korea.

So now North Korea is able to use nuclear extortion to bully its way to get nearly anything it wants knowing that a weak stomached fear of nuclear war and the mutually assured destruction (MAD) mentality will likely hamstring any real Western clout.

Since the psycho Communists of North Korea and the psycho Mohammedans of Iran are arms buddies, what kind of extortion will a nuclear armed WMD Iran use to encroach on hegemonic designs in the Middle East (including the destruction of Israel)?

Russia expands Georgia blitz, deploys ships

Is it Georgian genocide perpetrated on break-away South Ossetia or Russian aggression to annex South Ossetia and send a message to Georgia? OR perhaps Russia intends to take all of strategically located Georgia to thumb there noses at America. OR it is a combination of both: the Georgian military attempting to assert their national sovereignty while killing pro-Russian civilians and Russia using that as an excuse to annex all of Georgia.

ICC: Is there a Bite that goes with the Bark?

So if Omar al-Bashir (President of Sudan) is actually indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) by Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo, then what?

If the Three-Panel group of International judges puts out a warrant for the butcher of Christians (Southern Sudan) and Black African Muslims (Darfur), will al-Bashir turn himself in for trial? Only if he is a moron.

There is a difference between being moronic and evil; al-Bashir is evil.

The only way to force a political leader out of leadership is by invasion. Will the United Nations Security Council order such a military action for the genocidal al-Bashir? Heck no! The Security Council did nothing to remove the Butcher of Baghdad and the Security Council is doing nothing about Hezbollah slowly usurping the democratically elected government of Lebanon. And the Security Council is doing nothing about Hezbollah’s surrogates Syria and Iran which are financing and arming Hezbollah.

And talking of Iran, the Security Council is doing zilch to prevent the psycho-Shi’ites of Iran from attaining weapons grade uranium (or plutonium or whatever it’s called) to make nuke WMD’s.

So hurray for Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo; however if there is only bark and no bite, al-Bashir will keep killing millions of his citizens with impunity.

Wheels of Justice and National Interests

The United Nations Security Council voted 10 – 0 with 5 abstentions to set up an international tribunal to prosecute suspects in the assassination of Lebanonese former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. All the suspects range from Hezbollah (clients of Syria and Iran) and Syria that could implicate the top dog Bashar al-Assad.

The Assassination took place February 5, 2005. Friends, as of this writing it is May 31, 2007. That is WAY over two years since any sort of justice has been even close to begun.

The FIVE abstainees were nations that have strong economic ties to Syria and Iran: Russia, China, South Africa, Indonesia and Qatar. This is the indication that National Interests rule the day of justice.

Supporters Cheer U.N. Approval of Tribunal for Hariri Assassination Suspects

BEIRUT, Lebanon — Supporters of slain former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri cheered and wept and some danced in the streets to celebrate the U.N. Security Council approval of an international tribunal to prosecute suspects in his killing.

About 200 people holding flags cheered as some cried near Hariri's downtown Beirut grave as a giant screen broadcast the Security Council vote live from New York on Wednesday.

The vote at U.N. headquarters in New York was 10-0 with five abstentions — Russia, China, South Africa, Indonesia and Qatar. Nine votes were needed for passage. The five countries that abstained objected to establishing the tribunal without approval of Lebanon's parliament and to a provision that would allow the resolution to be militarily enforced.

Holding back tears, Hariri's son said in Lebanon that the resolution was a turning point that would protect his country from further assassinations. Saad Hariri called it a "victory the world has given to oppressed Lebanon and a victory for an oppressed Lebanon in the world."
"Enough divisions. ... Let's put our energies together for the sake of the nation," he urged.

A massive suicide truck bomb in Beirut killed Hariri and 22 others in February 2005. The first U.N. chief investigator, Germany's Detlev Mehlis, said the complexity of the assassination suggested Syrian and Lebanese intelligence services played a role. Four Lebanese generals, top pro-Syrian security chiefs, have been under arrest for 20 months, accused of involvement.

The issue of the tribunal has sharply polarized Lebanon. It is at the core of a deep political crisis between the Western-backed government and the Syrian-backed opposition led by Hezbollah. The tensions have taken on an increasingly sectarian tone and has erupted into street battles in recent months, killing 11 people.

Current Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora asked the Security Council earlier this month to establish the tribunal. He cited the refusal of opposition-aligned Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to convene a session to ratify statutes to create the tribunal, already approved by his government and the United Nations.

The resolution gives the Lebanese parliament a last chance to establish the tribunal itself. If it doesn't act by June 10, a tribunal will be created outside Lebanon with a majority of international judges and an international prosecutor.

The U.S., Britain and France, who sponsored the resolution, expressed satisfaction after it passed.

"By adopting this resolution, the council has demonstrated its commitment to the principle that there should be no impunity for political assassination, in Lebanon or elsewhere," U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Zalmay Khalilzad said.

The tribunal will be established under Chapter 7 of the U.N. Charter, which deals with threats to international peace and can be militarily enforced.

The Russians, Chinese, South Africans, Indonesians and Qataris all objected to putting the resolution under Chapter 7, saying it was unnecessary because all Security Council resolutions are legally binding.

Russia's U.N. Ambassador Vitaly Churkin said the resolution "essentially is an encroachment upon the sovereignty of Lebanon." He said Moscow supports bringing the perpetrators to justice. But "given the deep rift in Lebanese society ... that should not lead to negative consequences."

Chinese U.N. Ambassador Wang Guangya warned that only a tribunal supported by all Lebanese factions can be effective.

The council's move "will give rise to a series of political and legal problems, likely to add to the uncertainties embedded in the already turbulent political and security and situation in Lebanon," Wang said.

Syria's U.N. Ambassador Bashar Ja'afari criticized the resolution.
"Definitely this is something that goes against the interests of the Lebanese people and Lebanon as a whole," he told reporters after the vote.

Hariri's assassination sparked huge demonstrations against Syria. Syria denied involvement but was forced to withdraw its troops from Lebanon, ending its 29-year domination of it smaller neighbor.

Most of Beirut's other neighborhoods were empty after the vote as people stayed indoors fearing trouble. Lebanon was already in a state of heightened tensions because of ongoing fighting between the army and Islamic militants holed up at a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon. Scores have been killed in the violence, among them troops, militants and civilians caught in the crossfire.

Will Anyone Stop Iran?

I find it amazing that the global powers that be have totally ignored what Iran is doing. Iran is even a detriment to the environment by the amount of trees wasted in Security Council Resolutions ignored and blown off.

It is evident that Western impotence to taking action to prevent a nuclear Iran has led to Western acquiescence to the existence of a nuclear armed WMD Iran.

Bush has been rendered harmless by Democratic Party Congressional control in America. Olmert is harmless because he is incompetent in governing a strong Israel in both management and execution of Israel’s National Interests.

Who has the Cajones to Stop Iran?

Apparently “political correctness” has scored a diplomatic victory for Iran. The key: Have lots of oil then thumb your political nose at International (i.e. useless U.N.) EVERY SINGLE TIME a Resolution is put forth calling Iran to terminate their nuclear program.

Here is Decision 08 quoting the Chicago Tribune:

Iran appears to have solved most of its technological problems and is beginning to enrich uranium on a far larger scale than before. Tehran may well have passed the critical point, at which its scientists have mastered the technological feat of keeping thousands of delicate centrifuges spinning at terrific speeds. If so, that means all the assumptions about when Iran might be capable of enriching enough uranium to build a bomb would need to be recalculated. Tehran’s ability to build a bomb — estimated by various intelligence officials to be five to 10 years off — is likely to be moved up.

Here’s the math: International inspectors reportedly found that Iran has about 1,300 centrifuges running. If the Iranians can sustain that progress, their next milestone comes when they’ve got 3,000 running. At that point, nuclear experts said, Iran would be able to produce enough highly enriched uranium for a bomb within nine months or so.

“We believe they pretty much have the knowledge about how to enrich,” International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei told The New York Times. “From now on, it is simply a question of perfecting that knowledge. People will not like to hear it, but that’s a fact.”

No, we don’t like to hear it. But the sooner that fact is acknowledged, the sooner the Security Council can drop the pretense that the slow ratcheting of sanctions will force the Iranians to freeze their enrichment efforts. Incremental pressure won’t budge Iran. The only sanctions with even the faintest hope of stopping the Iranians are also the ones that would require the greatest international cooperation and cause the most economic pain worldwide.

Embargoing Iran’s oil exports, for instance, would stagger Iran’s already shaky economy. But the embargo would likely spring huge leaks even as pump prices rocketed. The other sensitive Iranian target: gasoline. Iran has huge oil reserves but it lacks sufficient refinery capacity and must import more than a third of its gasoline, mainly from Europe and India. A gas embargo could devastate much of the country’s industry, if it were enforced. Such dramatic measures could also backfire, rallying support for the ruling mullahs.

The next UN Security Council deadline for Iran to ignore falls next week.

Iran Defiant as World Powers Meet in London

The global community generally condemns the Bush Administration wish to prevent WMD quality nuclear enrichment from occurring in Iran. Well really I guess the global community does not complain about the idea of prevention, rather they denounce the Bush Administration call for harsh sanctions or military intervention to prevent a nuclear Iran.

The global community (particularly EU) did not learn the lesson of Neville Chamberlain: dealing with devils only stalls the inevitable. The “Peace in our time” pitch is a devilish lie to build an armament to achieve the political goals stated in public and in writings.

What is it with the United Nations and deadlines? Iran was given to February 21, 2007 to demonstrate progress on the International Body’s demands about going nuke. It is February 22 and the consequence is further deliberation? What is that?

Iran vows to continue uranium enrichment

As expected, Iran is thumbing its Mohammedan superiority complex at the U.N. Security Council. Not only is Iran ignoring the Resolution Sanctions, Ahmadinejad responded with a veiled threat that the West would pay for meddling in Iran’s uranium enrichment program. Also Iran is exploring leaving the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as if Iran cooperated or listened to the IAEA anyway.

Because of Russia and China the Security Council is committed to diplomacy and civilian thumb screwing to attempt to make Iran forsake a nuclear ambition that will certainly lead to Weapons of Mass destruction. By the time America and Europe realize that only military solutions will convince Iran it may be too late to engage in military action that will make a soft difference as opposed to a nightmare that will make Iraq look like a picnic.

U.N. Security Council to vote on Iran

The United Nations Security Council is scheduled to vote today (Saturday) on sanctions on Iran due to its nuclear program. If you have had your head in the sand, the West and Israel perceive the only possible reason Iran would engage in nuclear power is to refine uranium for weapons grade plutonium.

Iran denies the accusation and claim they are building nuclear plants for civilian and peaceful purposes. It is Iran’s President Ahmadinejad that makes Iran’s claim doubtful. Ahmadinejad continuously in public speeches calls for Israel to be wiped off the map and threatens the West and America if they interfere with Iran’s nuclear program.

Peace and war drums simply do not match up.

The Security Council problem is that permanent members Russia and China have an extensive economic relationship with Iran that works both ways. I will be fascinated to see if those to nations will veto any Security Council Resolution that imposes sanctions that have any teeth that can bite Iran.

Russia Imposes Conditions for Security Council Resolution

Britain, France and Germany propose a U.N. Security Council Resolution pertaining to Iranian nuclear proliferation. Russia and China agree with the proposal with a few exceptions.

Russia specifically wishes three boons for Iran:

1. Russia wants to eliminate the Iranian travel ban.

2. Russia wishes to qualify the financial freeze on Iranian government officials.

3. Russia wants to be able to keep supplying fuel and construction of the light water nuclear facility in Iran.

To get any kind of Resolution through the Security Council; America, Britain, France and Germany will have to concede those points to receive support or an abstention from Russia and China. A veto nullifies the Security Council process in making Iran comply.

Now let us approach the possibility that a Security Council Resolution is passed. Only a moron will believe such a Resolution will prevent Iran from going forward with its nuclear ambitions.

The only affect a U.N. Security Council Resolution will have is allowing a pretext for whoever has the cajones to engage Iran with prejudice outside the United Nations infrastructure.

President Bush will be hamstrung by Democrat Party cut-n-runners and the elites of the EU will fail to act without Arabic support that fears a nuclear armed Iran.
