Singer subs 'black anthem' for 'Star Spangled Banner'

There is not one mention of Barack Hussein Obama’s wife Michelle in this news article; nonetheless that is what came to mind when I read that a Black jazz artist Renee Marie sang the “Black National Anthem” (“Lift Every Voice and Sing”) in a “switcheroonie” rather than the American “National Anthem” (“The Star-Spangled Banner”) because she “doesn’t feel American.”

Actually the reason Marie gave for singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” is the tragedy. She singlehandedly turned an awesome Christian worship song into a racially divisive song repudiating American patriotism.

I have to be strait; I hate chain mail and chain emails. Usually they are fictitious. Even if they were factual, by the time the Chain goes through hundreds of people the facts become distorted. Then there is the send it or be cursed or send it and some kind of financial gain will mysteriously happen yada, yada and yada.

I received this chain email. God only knows how long it has been passed around. By the time it came to me there were various fonts and italic and so on; nonetheless it is one of those things that one reads that points to pride in America. It also demonstrates just how much Leftists are a bunch of repugnant American hating moonbats. On this point alone I am going to clean it up and post it.

O yeah, there will be no curses or promises of remuneration.

When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of 'empire building' by George Bush.

He answered by saying, 'Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have EVER asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.

A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: 'Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck.. We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?'

A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S., English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies. At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of officers that included personnel from most of those countries. Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a French admiral suddenly complained that, 'whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English....’

He then asked, 'Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?'

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied ’Maybe it's because the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German.'

A group of Americans, retired teachers, recently went to France on a tour. Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on. 'You have been to France before, monsieur?' the customs officer asked sarcastically.

Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously. 'Then you should know enough to have your passport ready.'

The American said, 'The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it.'

'Impossible. Americans always have to show your passports on arrival in France!’

The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained. 'Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in ‘44, I couldn't find a Frenchman to show it to.'

Support MAF to EXPOSE Leftist Un-American Ploys

Move America Forward (MAF) is continuing to make an issue of the Berkeley City Council’s unpatriotic stance toward the United States Marine Corps (USMC). You should be aware that MAF was the principle proponent in exposing Berkeley’s City Council attempt to remove a Marine recruiting office from Berkeley.

Also MAF was the principle pro-American/pro-Troop organization that exposed the treasonous actions of Code Pink Stink in literally chaining themselves in front of the Marine recruiting office to illegally prohibit people to enter. Code Pink Stink would call that a protest however when such actions are taken to that extent it reaches beyond free speech to the intrusion of operations of federal government operations.

The City Council actually gave Code Pink Stink a permit to protest intrude the Marine recruiting office directly on the parking area in front of the door.

MAF publicity humiliated the City Council to rescind an official letter to the Marines telling them to get out of town.

Thank God MAF is placing advertising of the Berkeley City Council treachery on spots in local television and Cable TV outlets on national television.

Society for years has endured the freakish antics of Berkeley dwellers. Naked people streaking in the streets; smelly hippies begging for money as they sing drunken renditions of '60s anti-war songs; adults sitting in trees like a bad zoo exhibit.

But the Berkeley City Council and instigators from the extreme left have crossed the line this time. The council Tuesday night passed two anti-military, anti-American resolutions and agreed to send a letter to the city's only Marine recruiting office saying the military are "uninvited intruders."

This is treasonous, hateful behavior that steals the First Amendment rights of the Marines, the very group that protects our constitutional rights. What galls me most is that Berkeley is the birthplace of the modern free-speech movement and now it is has drawn battle lines in the war against the First Amendment.

The first resolution says that the Marine Corps recruiting station "is not welcome in the city, and if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome intruders."

The socialist council also gave the anti-American Code Pink a designated parking space in front of the recruiting station once a week for six months and a free sound permit for protesting once a week from noon to 4 p.m. The goal is clear – to harass the Marines until they are forced out of Berkeley.

Nice misappropriation of public funds.

Business people are sick of the Code Stinkos, who make noise, disrupt business with their aggressiveness and "yoga moves," and generally pollute the area.

"My husband's business is right upstairs, and this (protesting) is bordering on harassment," Dori Schmidt told the council. "I hope this stops."

The only councilman who showed restraint and a scent of common sense was Gordon Wozniak. He opposed giving Code Pink a parking space because it favors free speech rights of one group over another.

"There's a line between protesting and harassing, and that concerns me," Wozniak said. "It looks like we are showing favoritism. We have to respect the other side and not abuse their rights. This is not good policy."

I have dealt with these beasts up close and they are one scary bunch to confront in person. The pro-troop organization I lead, Move America Forward, went to Berkeley in October with more than 400 patriotic Americans to support our Marines, who opened their recruiting center in Berkeley about a year ago. We waved our American flags, sang "God Bless America" and "The Star Spangled Banner," spoke out in support of our troops, and showed love and respect for our military while a paltry gathering of Code Pinko's burned flags and yelled anti-American epithets.

Code Pink was so embarrassed that patriotic Americans outnumbered them in their own backyard that they wanted a rematch. A representative from Code Pink e-mailed and asked if I would debate Medea Benjamin, a socialist who loves Cuba's dictator, Fidel Castro. She is also responsible for sending more than $600,000 to terrorists' families in Iraq.

I said I would be happy to take on Benjamin, but only after we agreed to certain details that would protect against an ambush from the left – such as having a fair moderator, a proper venue and inclusion of a representatives from the Marines. Code Pink reneged on this agreement and proceeded to go out and lie about my involvement. Even after I explicitly told them I would not debate Benjamin based on their failures to live up to our agreement, Code Pink continued to tell the media and the public that there would be a debate on this issue.

Code Pink demonstrated once again why they cannot be trusted by any fair and reasonable person interested in honest debate on the important issues facing our nation, especially when it relates to our military. All Code Pink was interested in was orchestrating a ploy to raise money for their treasonous activities.

To make matters worse, Code Pink has now kicked off a campaign for an initiative that would restrict recruiting centers in the same way cities contain pornography shops. Comparing our military to pornography peddlers is slanderous and outrageous. What is really obscene is the conduct of Code Pink and their allies.

Berkeley Councilman Max Anderson has pushed the idea of giving special favors to Code Pink, which has done so much to cripple America's efforts to protect herself against radical Islamic jihadists. Yet Anderson had the nerve to say that our Marine's are committing "barbarity."

Anderson should take a look at Saddam's torture and rape chambers if he wants to see real barbarity. His libel against our troops is unacceptable, and decent people across America should let him know that this degradation of our troops will not stand.

You can do your part by registering your outrage with the city of Berkeley, contacting officials via e-mail and phone.

Meanwhile, the feds should cut off federal funds to Berkeley faster than the warmed-over hippies can say "barbarity."

Okay, I know this Denzel Washington piece is a chain e-letter. The veracity of chain e-letters are usually 90% fiction. There are websites set up to debunk much of what is read in chain e-letters such as Snopes.

I am going to post the chain e-letter followed by the Snopes article that separates fact from fiction. The chain e-letter utilizes volumes of pictures to procure the look of absolute veracity. I am just going to use a few of those photos in this post.

The Fisher House is a Hotel where soldiers' families can stay, for little or no charge, while their soldier is staying in the Hospital. BAMC has quite a few of these houses on base, but as you can imagine, they are almost filled most of the time.

While Denzel Washington was visiting BAMC, they gave him a tour of one of the Fisher Houses. He asked how much one of them would cost to build. He took his check book out and wrote a check for the full amount right there on the spot. The soldiers overseas were amazed to hear this story and want to get the word out to the American public, because it warmed their hearts to hear it.

The question I have is why does:

Alec Baldwin, Madonna, Sean Penn and other Hollywood types make front page news with their anti-everything America trash and Denzel Washington's Patriotism doesn't even make page 3 in the Metro section of any newspaper except the Local newspaper in San Antonio.

A true American and friend to all in uniform!

Origins: In mid-December 2004, Denzel Washington — reportedly at the suggestion of a veteran known as "Ranger Jones" whom the actor met while filming the 1988 Civil War epic Glory — paid a visit to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. The popular actor took part in a Purple Heart ceremony, presenting medals to three Army soldiers who were recovering in the hospital from wounds received in Iraq.

The city's Express-News newspaper described one of the medal recipients' reaction to her encounter with the screen star:


When Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington entered the auditorium at Brooke Army Medical Center, Spc. Connie Spinks, healing from wounds from Iraq, was content to hold his hand, get a gentle peck on the cheek and hear him whisper a sweet nothing in her ear.

"He just told me he was proud of me, and that was enough," said Spinks, who has a broken femur, fractured fibula, shattered ankle, two broken fingers and second- and third-degree burns on her hands and face.

That brief encounter was enough to lift the Asheboro, N.C., native, a world away from her memories of Oct. 13, when a suicide bomber killed two soldiers and injured Spinks, 22, and four others in a convoy.

"If I wasn't already in a wheelchair, I would have fainted" when the screen star kissed her, she said.

Oh, but there was one more thing she needed. She waved her mother, Annette, up for a hug and kiss from the leading man, who has portrayed young military heroes in "Glory" and "Crimson Tide."

"I had to do that for my mother," said Spinks, who will be treated at the hospital at least through March. "She's been here for me since October."


Fort Sam Houston, which houses the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), also includes on its property two Fisher House facilities within walking distance of the medical center. Fisher Houses are a network of "comfort homes," essentially low-cost hotels built on the grounds of military medical centers in the U.S. and abroad that provide all the amenities of home and enable family members of servicemen to stay close to loved ones who are undergoing medical treatment for illness, disease, or injury. The modest fees charged by Fisher Houses (about $10 per night) make them accessible even to familes with tight budgets (a situation common to many military families).

As might be expected with the U.S. military's having been engaged in combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq for the last few years, the demand for space in Fisher Houses at some military facilities has exceeded their capacities. According to the Fisher House Foundation, when Denzel Washington was at Fort Sam Houston in December 2004, he did visit its Fisher House and learn of their need for additional facilities, and he did later make a substantial donation to the Fisher House Foundation; however, he did not, as described above, "get out his checkbook" on the spot and write a check for the full amount needed to construct a new building:


The problem, according to Fisher House President David Coker, is that while Washington did make a 'sizeable' donation to the program, the e-mail claim is almost entirely bogus.

"Denzel came to visit with the soldiers and Marines being cared for at Brooke Army Medical Center last December 17th," Coker said. "He visited with them and told them how much he respects their service. He also toured one of the two Fisher Houses at Brooke Army Medical Center."

Washington told Coker at the time he would like to make a commitment to support the work of Fisher House.

"Denzel did not take out a checkbook and write a check on the spot," Coker says. "He seldom carries a check book with him."

Coker said Washington did in fact make a sizeable donation to Fisher House several months after his visit to BAMC. He declined to comment on the size of the donation, but it was not enough to build a new Fisher House.

[Coker also] said the fact that Washington, 49, did not write a check 'on the spot' does not diminish his contribution to the Fisher House and his support 'for the men and women who serve our country.'


Evidently the confusion came about when the commander of the Brooke Army Medical Center simultaneously announced plans for a new Fisher House facility (costing about $1.5 million) near BAMC and the news of Mr. Washington's donation. People quite naturally associated the two news items with each other and mistakenly assumed Mr. Washington had donated the full amount required to build the new facility.

One version of the Denzel Washington e-mail in circulation concludes: "By the way . . . He has a son who is a Marine in Iraq." Although Denzel Washington does have two sons (and also two daughters), neither of his sons is a Marine or is stationed in Iraq. One son is far too young to be serving in the military (he's only thirteen years old), and Denzel's older son, 21-year-old John David Washington, is currently a senior (and a football star) at Morehouse College in Atlanta.

Denzel Washington is well known for his philanthropy, reportedly having made large charitable donations such as $1 milllion to the Children's Fund of South Africa and $2.5 million to the Church of God. We have no idea whether it's true or not, but the following humorous anecdote plays on his reputation for generosity:


Denzel Washington was out with friends when a homeless man asked him for money. The actor's entourage ignored the beggar, but Washington handed him a $100 bill. The man began to cry, then grabbed a passerby and choked out, "Will Smith just gave me a hundred bucks!"

The thing that is true is that Denzel did visit Brook Army Medical Center and a Fisher House in San Antonio, Texas. The chain e-letter insinuates this is something that happened recently. In fact it happened in 2004.

The intent of the chain e-letter is valid. This was an expression of Denzel’s American patriotism; however it does not establish Denzel’s view about the War in Iraq or on Terrorism. The fact is Denzel is a compassionate man for he did contribute a sizable amount of money but not the full amount to cover the cost of a Fisher House motel.

This is a classic example of good thing becoming distorted from the actuality as time has gone on. It has entered the realm of “Urban Legend.”

Question Pelosi’s Patriotism, Dang Right

There is a bit of a feud running between Pelosi of the Left Coast and Vice President Cheney. You might say facetiously, “No kidding.” Okay I realize the Left including Pelosi has not been of Cheney’s Christmas list and visa-versa for nigh seven years, however the Democrats have arrogantly have tried to use legislative authority to meddle in executive authority since January 2007.

The Vice President has publicly and in various international locations has said that “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's opposition to President Bush's Iraq war buildup is playing into the hands of the al-Qaida terrorist network.” Pelosi has shot back publicly to ask if Cheney is questioning her patriotism.

Realize this is not a direct quote, but Cheney basically said, “Dang right.”

Move America Forward [ http://www.moveamericaforward.org/ ] is proud to announce that we will be fighting back against all this negativity and disrespect towards our troops with a positive and patriotic national effort titled: "THESE COLORS DON'T RUN".

MAF will lead a national caravan of vehicles and supporters from California across the nation to Washington, D.C. Heading up the caravan will be Gold Star Parents who lost a child in the war on terrorism, Blue Star Parents who have a son/daughter serving in the war effort, or veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

We are putting out the word to all Americans to join us for this national show of support for our troops - and at each stop along the way conducting a patriotic pro-troop rally where we will be collecting American flags from rally participants.

We are putting out the call for children in schools to make homemade flags to be brought to these rallies. We are asking for those who are good at knitting or sewing to make homemade flags. We are asking families to bring a flag that has sentimental value or a patriotic story behind it to these rallies. Or simply buy a flag, bring it to the rally so we can add it to the collection of flags heading for the big Washington, D.C. event!

At each rally we will collect the flags and pack them in the trucks in our caravan and then bring them to Washington, D.C. where we will surround these war memorials in a giant sea of red, white and blue - and where we will conduct our final and largest pro-troop rally in Washington, D.C. - on March 17, 2006 - opposite the major anti war protest.

When the rally is completed we will send each flag donated to the effort to a unit serving in Iraq and Afghanistan with a placard explaining the story behind the national effort that brought this flag of support from the United States, overseas to our troops serving in the war on terrorism.

This will be one of the most ambitious efforts we have ever undertaken at Move America Forward. We will need your support for this positive, uplifting and patriotic event.

In the coming days we will be reaching out to coordinate our efforts and offer support to such fine organizations as Free Republic, Vets for Truth and the "Gathering of Eagles " project and participating veterans groups to make sure that there is a vibrant and patriotic effort from coast to coast.

American Rule of Law: A Pass to Radical Mohammedan/Americans

If you are an American you need to be aware that Detroit and its suburb Dearborn are huge havens for Mohammedans. As an American you may respond, “So what!”

After all America is the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. America is a place that is the poster child of Civil Rights and Liberty, even in the midst of all the global anti-Americanism.

Here is my problem with Mohammedanism. As a religion, practice and believe as freedom allows in America. As an ideology, Mohammedanism is a lethal anti-American culture. As a minority Mohammedanism has fine tuned the role of victimhood that makes African-American whining appear to be a picnic.

Back to the Detroitistan/Dearbornistan metropolitan area, honestly the only thing I am aware of is that the Mohammedan population is significant and tending to be concentrated. I am aware that local Mohammedan wealth and working individuals continuously and often find ways to donate money to terrorist causes. There has been Mohammedans convicted for giving both to Hamas and Hezbollah. The first tends to be more Sunni and the later more Shi’ite.

Apparently this is one of the few places on the planet that Sunni and Shi’ites seem to get along with each other. The Sunni and Shi’ite common goal appears to be to finance agendas that undermine or are in opposition to the United States of America.

You have heard of the Left Wing Moveon.org, yes? Well thank God a group of true American patriots have come together to form MoveAmericaForward.org.

I am not certain how I got on their email list, however I received this in my email box:

By now you've all heard the breaking news that Saddam Hussein has been executed. With his death comes the end of an awful and terrible chapter in the course of human history. A brutal dictator not only massacred his own people, he held the world hostage by his sponsorship of terrorism and threats to inflict harm upon the free people of the world. The United Nations passed 16 - yes SIXTEEN - resolutions that went unenforced because of the failure of good men and women around the globe to stand up to the violence and evilness of Hussein and his regime in Iraq.

Since the onset of Operation Iraqi Freedom, brave men and women have given their lives to fight against those who stand on the side of terrorism, tyranny and bloodshed. Many fine and upstanding soldiers have died in this war on terrorism, and their surviving family members are called Gold Star Families.

Move America Forward has taken an historic delegation of these families to Iraq this year, and now, days after Christmas, the Associated Press, CBS News, CNN and Fox News Channel are all waking up to this story. Read it for yourself here:

More importantly, we will continue to stand up for the heroic men and women of the United States military who are fighting for the cause of freedom and liberty. We will stand up against those in the far Left anti-war movement, and those negative "Blame America First" types in the news media who seem to be constantly rooting against America and the values our nation stands for.

Kerry Belittles U.S. Troops

SEE KERRY BELITTLE TROOPS

Senator Kerry is an example of what to expect if the Democrats win one or both Houses of Congress. Kerry and the Democrats will simply lose the war because they consider the brave men and women of the military to be dummies.

That is right folks, Kerry believes if you don't get an education will you go to Iraq. That is a typical anti-Vietnam statement moving to the 21st Century. Those who wished to avoid the draft in the 1960's and 1970's tried many games: homosexuality, Canada, or academics. Kerry gave a speech in California indicating the same old line: do well in school or go to Iraq.

The implication is only dummies sign up for the Service. One thing, there is no Draft today. A second thing, the military recruits just as heavily from colleges as they do from High Schools.
