Recently the United American Committee's Central Florida chapter exposed cultural Jihad in a Central Florida school. What would you do if your child was forced to attend a class on Islam without your consent in a Public School? This is the same public school system who says your child can not be exposed to prayer in schools. It is also the same public school system that your tax dollars fund to be able to give YOUR children a quality unbiased education. The public school system that says you can not force a child to participate in any religion. Well it happened this week in Central Florida. The Central Florida chapter of the United American Committee uncovered this plot to educate your children with the religion of Islam and exposed it.

The Central Florida Chapter of the United American Committee then contacted WFTV Channel 9 news in Orlando to expose a cultural Jihad at a local school. This class was called family dynamics and was supposed to have nothing to do with religion, but ISLAM turned it into a religious discussion and these students had no choice to stay or go. Islam is Emerging as a State Religion

In this day in America the Left and Secular Humanists will do their utmost to prevent Christian worship, prayer and symbolism out of Public Schools for the oft misperception of the term “Separation of Church and State.” That term is not found in the original U.S. Constitution nor in any Amendment to the Constitution and especially it is not found in the first ten Amendments known as the Bill of Rights.

As you can probably deduce, I highly disagree with the Left’s extreme incursion in Public Schools and Public Institutions. I agree religion should not be promoted as Establishing a State Religion which is the only intent of the First Amendment; however to completely eradicate religion and especially the religion in which America has its heritage from is ridiculous. The Founding Fathers NEVER had any intent of preventing the principles and morals out of publicly funded institutions, they simply objected to establish any particular Christian Denomination as the State Church and they wanted Americans to have the freedom to believe as they see fit whether they were religious or atheistic or what ever.

Now that is my introductory rant on what I think the Left and Secular Humanism has done in attacking the efficacy of Christianity in Public Institutions.

Now let us get to the point. The Left and Secular Humanism is so intent on multiculturalism and anti-Christianity that they dispose of their own concepts of “Separation of Church and State” when it comes to funding a religion in Public Institutions foreign to America’s heritage. This is particularly true of the religiously politically correct moniker of the religion known as Islam (I prefer the 19th century moniker for it is closer to the truth – Mohammedanism).

Mohammedanism is being taught in Public Schools to the extent that students are made to practice Mohammedan rituals in the name of multiculturalism. For example: the observing the Mohammedan religious holy days of Ramadan again under the guise of understanding and accepting another multicultural way of living. I don’t have a problem with understanding another culture, especially the Mohammedan culture. Americans need to understand the nature of how Mohammedanism grew into a significantly large religion and how intolerance forbids the free thought non-Mohammedan beliefs in Mohammedan culture.

HOWEVER teaching students rituals is like promoting its faith. This is the very thing the Left and Secular Humanism does not allow Christianity to do in Public Schools under their belief of the Separation of Church and State.

It gets worse! Now American tax payer money is actually paying for Arabic Culture schools for foreign children of Arabic descent or immigration complete with speaking in Arabic and Mohammedan prayer moments and a curriculum financed by Saudi interests which include the Wahhabi Sunni school of thought which is the radical Islam of Mohammedan terrorists like al Qaeda, the Taliban and Hamas – all listed terrorist organizations by the U.S. State Department.

The most controversial school of this nature is in New York – the Khalil Gibran International Academy (KGIA). Daniel Pipes points out that teaching Arabic culture is a good thing; however the way Arabic curriculum is scheduled to be taught is in a way that glorifies Pan-Arab nationalism or in my interpretation – glorifies Mohammedanism as the supremacist religion of the planet and denigrates other cultures. Alicia Colon writing as a critic of the curriculum that the pro-KGIA people have accused critics of KGIA as being hate mongers and bigots. The pro-KGIA people point especially to Stop The Madrassa as a preeminent hate group however when Colon investigated the website she found nothing comparable to hate. It is a website critical of promoting Mohammedanism and skewing the academic truth on the American dime. In all this Colon wonders, “Where is the ACLU?” After all the ACLU is in the forefront organization keeping Christianity out Public Institutions and Public Schools is high on that ACLU list of persecution. Colon was also astounded that the pro-KGIA people were sending her HATE mail of the deviant quality that made anti-KGIA critics look like saints.

KGIA was so last year; however that Public Institution’s example is beginning to be set up in other parts of America.

The State of Minnesota is now funding the same kind of Arabic Public School and according to an Act For America e-newsletter I received recently may be even on a worse scale than the KGIA.

The Act For America e-newsletter points out that the Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA) is on the public dime for foreign Mohammedans too poor to attend the private Madrassa school in the same area yet are taught the same anti-American radical Islamic message.

And since I had to check a source, viz. the Stop The Madrassa blog; I have discovered that the blog has posted same article as Act For America did by Katherine Kersten of the Star Tribune which links Muslim American Society (MAS) with TIZA. Hello! The MAS has been linked to radical extremist terrorists and Islamists like Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Currently, some ACT! for America chapters in California are collecting and reviewing public school textbooks because of growing and justifiable concerns that Islam is receiving disproportionate coverage vis a vis other religious beliefs, and because frequently the way it is presented glosses over and even mischaracterizes the historical and doctrinal record of Islam.

For instance, one world history textbook devotes over 50 pages to Islam and about a half dozen pages to Christianity. Another textbook asserts that Muslims only use force in “self-defense.”

The story below raises another question: Are Islamic schools being funded by tax dollars?

Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA) -- named for the Muslim general who conquered medieval Spain -- is a K-8 charter school in Inver Grove Heights. Its approximately 300 students are mostly the children of low-income Muslim immigrant families, many of them Somalis.

The school is in huge demand, with a waiting list of 1,500. Last fall, it opened a second campus in Blaine.

TIZA uses the language of culture rather than religion to describe its program in public documents. According to its mission statement, the school "recognizes and appreciates the traditions, histories, civilizations and accomplishments of the eastern world (Africa, Asia and Middle East)."

Stop the NYC Madrassa

The below was posted to the Blind Conservative email list to which I belong. Unfortunately sometimes the group posting sometimes is scrambled in formatting by the time it reaches the list members. When this happens I do my best to format for posting. My apologies to Daniel Pipes if there are any formatting or grammatical errors in which I guessed incorrectly.

I have been lightly following the Public School Arabic style Madrassa in New York for there seemed to be some conspicuous secrets from public perusal at a tax payer supported Public School.

Sure enough some Arabic kids made a shirt for sale that had this written on it: “Intifada NYC.” Since the word is connected to Palestinian-Arab terrorism and New York was the home of the hugest loss of life in 9/11, it was not cool. The T-shirts were to be for sale at the Khalil Gibran International Academy (KGIA).

As you will read from Daniel Pipes, the principal that was to head up the soon opening Public School (Almontaser) defended the shirts. Worse yet, apparently Almontaser had a loose connection to those that sponsored the design and marketing of the reprehensible T-shirts. Below are the details:

Stop the NYC Madrassa

When Dhabah "Debbie" Almontaser resigned as principal of the Khalil Gibran International Academy on August 10, her action culminated a remarkable grassroots campaign in which concerned citizens successfully criticized the New York City establishment. But the fight goes on. The next step is to get the academy itself canceled.


The five-month effort to get Almontaser removed began in March with analyses, including one _by this writer_ (http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/731), pointing out the inherent political and religious problems in an Arabic-language school. By June, a concerned group of New York City residents joined with specialists among them my colleague, _R. John Matthies (http://www.meforum.org/press/1675) to create the _Stop the Madrassa Coalition_ (http://www.stopthemadrassa.wordpress.com/), with the goal of preventing an avowed Islamist from heading a taxpayer-funded school.


The coalition, made up of some 150 people, energetically did research, attended events, peppered public officials - notably Mayor Michael Bloomberg and School Chancellor Joel Klein - with letters, collared journalists, and spoke on radio shows and national television. The odds seemed impossibly long, especially as the city government and most of the city's press clearly supported the KGIA's opening and Ms. Almontaser as principal, while denouncing their critics.


Unrelenting efforts by the coalition eventually led to the development in early August that caused Almontaser to resign. One of its leaders, Pamela Hall, photographed T-shirts bearing the words "Intifada NYC," which were sold by an organization, Arab Women Active in Art and Media, that shares office space in Brooklyn with the Saba Association of American Yemenis. Ms. Almontaser, it turns out, is both a board member and the spokeswoman for the Saba Association.


The T-shirts' call for a Palestinian Arab-style uprising in the five boroughs, admittedly, had only the most tenuous connection to Ms. Almontaser. She could have maintained her months-old silence, which was serving her well.


But the KGIA principal also has a _long history of speaking out about politics_(http://www.danielpipes.org/article/4441), and apparently she could not resist the opportunity to _defend the shirts_(http://www.nypost.com/seven/08062007/news/regionalnews/city_principal_is_revolting_regionalnews_chuck_bennett_and_jana_winter.htm), telling the New York Post that the word intifada "basically means ‘shaking off.’ That is the root word if you look it up in Arabic. I understand it is developing a negative connotation due to the uprising in the Palestinian-Israeli areas. I don't believe the intention is to have any of that kind of [violence] in New York City. I think it's pretty much an opportunity for girls to express that they are part of New York City society ... and shaking off oppression."


This gratuitous apology for suicide terrorism undid Ms. Almontaser's months of silence and years of work, prompting scathing editorials and denunciations by politicians. Perhaps most devastating was a harsh letter from the president of the United Federation of Teachers, _Randi Weingarten_ (http://www.nypost.com/seven/08092007/postopinion/letters/terror_tots_in_training_letters_.htm), who previously had supported Ms. Almontaser. Ms. Almontaser submitted an angry _resignation letter_ (http://www.danielpipes.org/rr/2007-08-10-almontaser-kgia.pdf) just four days after the publication of her statement apologizing for intifada.


"I remain committed to the success of Khalil Gibran International Academy," Mr. Klein insisted after Ms. Almontaser's resignation. Fine, but KGIA's prospects for opening on September 4 remain clouded. Count its _problems_
(http://www.nypost.com/seven/08082007/news/regionalnews/arab_schools_peace_goals_regionalnews_chuck_bennett.htm): The school has only an interim, non-Arabic-speaking principal; it has only five teachers; and it is 25% undersubscribed by students. In addition, it faces the outspoken opposition of politicians such as Assemblyman Dov Hikind and is wildly unpopular; and an unscientific _America Online poll_ (http://news.aol.com/story/ar/_a/principal-resigns-over-intifada-t-shirts/20070810190909990001) of 180,000 subscribers found that more than four-fifths of the public is unsympathetic to the school.


Ms. Almontaser's departure, however welcome, does not change the rest of the school's personnel, much less address the more basic problems implicit in an Arabic-language school — the tendency to Islamist and Arabist content and proselytizing. To reiterate my initial assessment in March, the KGIA is in principle a great idea, as America needs more Arabic speakers. In practice, however, Arabic-language instruction needs special scrutiny.


The city, in other words, could take steps to make the KGIA acceptable by dispensing with the existing _set of goals_ (http://www.pipelinenews.org/images/KGIAexecsummary.pdf), fundamentally rethinking its mission, appointing a new advisory board, hiring new staff, and imposing the necessary educational and political controls.


Unfortunately, statements by the mayor and the schools chancellor suggest that such steps are emphatically not under way. Until and unless the city leadership changes its approach to the KGIA, I shall continue to call for the school not to open until it is properly restructured and supervised.

Muslims Practice Faith in Public Schools – Christianity Prohibited

The American Congress for Truth has sent out an article written by Oren Dorell and apparently originally published in USA Today.

Dorell writes about the emerging double standard that American Leftists scream about pertaining to Christianity; however when Mohammedanism is permitted to pray, have special rooms for Mohammedan rituals and other Mohammedan practices nary a Leftist raises an eyebrow.

Brittany McComb was prohibited from giving her High School Valedictorian speech because she was going to mention her faith in Christ. Yet in New York an Arabic Public School will open for the first time teaching Arabic culture – HELLO – That means teaching about Mohammedanism as well. Arabic culture and the Mohammedan religion are so intertwined they cannot be taught separately. In America Leftist civil suits and the threat of expulsion hang over the head of young Christians that merely wear a shirt with Christian moral beliefs imprinted on them.

Is there disparity and double standards being utilized to affect a dhimmitude among the non-Mohammedan majority in this nation? You’re darn toot'in there is!

Some say schools giving Muslims special treatment

Some public schools and universities are granting Muslim requests for prayer times, prayer rooms and ritual foot baths, prompting a debate on whether Islam is being given preferential treatment over other religions.

The University of Michigan at Dearborn is planning to build foot baths for Muslim students who wash their feet before prayer. An elementary school in San Diego created an extra recess period for Muslim pupils to pray.

At George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., Muslim students using a "meditation space" laid out Muslim prayer rugs and separated men and women in accordance with their Islamic beliefs.
Critics see a double standard and an organized attempt to push public conformance with Islamic law.

"What (school officials) are doing...is to give Muslim students religious benefits that they do not give any other religion right now," says Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel at the Thomas More Law Center, an advocacy group for Christians.

Advocates say the accommodations are legal.

"The whole issue is to provide for a religious foundation for those who are observant while respecting separation of church and state," says Salam Al-Marayati, executive director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, based in Los Angeles. Many schools accommodate the Christian and Jewish sabbaths and allow Jewish students to not take tests on religious holidays, he says.

Barry Lynn, of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, says however that the law is murky on these expressions of faith. And the American Civil Liberties Union says overt religious symbols like crucifixes are not legal, but whether Muslim foot baths and prayer rugs fall into that category is not clear.

"That's a difficult one, and it's right on the edge," says Jeremy Gunn, director of the ACLU program on freedom of religion and belief in Washington, D.C.

At the forefront of the movement is the Muslim Students' Association, which has formed a Muslim Accommodations Task Force to push for foot baths and prayer rooms. At least 17 universities have foot baths built or under construction, including Boston University, George Washington University and Temple University, and at least nine universities have prayer rooms for "Muslim students only," including Stanford, Emory and the University of Virginia, according to the MSA's website. The association did not return calls seeking comment.

Zuhdi Jasser, a Muslim and chairman of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, which promotes separation of mosque and state, says he is concerned about the accommodations. "Unusual accommodations for one faith at the cost of everybody else doesn't fall on the side of pluralism," he said.

At George Mason University, non-Muslim students were asked to observe Muslim rules in the prayer area, such as keeping men on one side and women on the other and removing their shoes, according to Broadside, the school newspaper. Alissa Karton, assistant to the vice president for student life, said the article prompted the school to order students to roll up prayer rugs when not in use and move the dividers.

The University of Michigan agreed to install foot baths after talks with the MSA, said Terry Gallagher, director of public relations at the campus. Some Muslims ritually wash their feet before praying five times a day.

Daniel Pipes, founder of the Middle East Forum, a conservative think tank, sees the requests as part of a movement to force the public to acquiesce to Islamic law.

"The goal of Islamists is the application of Islamic law," Pipes says.

In the San Diego case, a substitute teacher at Carver Elementary School alleged that teachers were indoctrinating students into Islam. The San Diego Unified School District determined that a teacher's aide was wrong to lead Muslim students in prayer. Carver still has a special recess to allow 100 Muslim students to pray.

The ACLU, which has often sued schools for permitting prayer, says it is waiting to see what kind of policy the school settles on before deciding whether to sue. It says promoting prayers is unconstitutional.

"If you start carving out time in the school day that you would not do but for the need to let students pray, then it begins to look like what you're trying to do is to assist religion," says David Blair-Loy, legal director for the ACLU in San Diego.

Thompson says such conflicts are bound to proliferate. He and other Christians, he says, are preparing to ask for equal consideration such as a Christian prayer recess.

"What you're going to see out there is more of these kinds of cases as the Muslim community tests how far it can go in the public school system," he says. "If this can happen for Muslims, it can happen for Christians and other religions."

Public School Christophobia

I am on an email list that is a copious source of information. It is called the Blind Conservatives.

This email was sent by Jan. I am not sure as to where she (or he?) found it. The reason this article written by Mark Earley is so important is because it demonstrates a Christophobia agenda by America’s Public School System.

There is an anti-Christian agenda by Leftists and Secular Humanists in this country. It is so outrageous that Americans are willing to portray Christians as a backward group bent on preventing progress in America. The fact is Christian American Patriots had been the bedrock of the moral fiber in America until the 1960’s began infusing the cancer cells of Secular Humanism.

The real enemy the school systems across America should be teaching about radical Islamism, even if there is an outcry from Mohammedans residing in America. If America took a greater stand to educate Americans of the agenda of radical Islam, then Mohammedans would have to make serious public choices: Either publicly repudiate the barbarity of radical Islam or flock to the streets in support of radical Islam.

Either way, Americans would have a greater cogent understanding of who is and who is not an enemy.

Are Christians Terrorists? What Schools Are Teaching Our Kids

Two-and-a-half years ago, Islamic terrorists took 1,200 people hostage at a school in the Russian city of Beslan. They ultimately slaughtered 344 people, including 186 children. The attack brought back memories of the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School, in which two disaffected students shot to death twelve classmates and a teacher.

It is no surprise, then-especially after September 11-that a New Jersey school district felt the need to practice anti-terrorism drills. What shocked students was who the mock terrorists were supposed to be: homeschooling Christian fundamentalists.

It's another example of how openly those hostile to any forms of Christianity express their contempt.

The anti-terrorism drill was organized by the Burlington Township Police Department. According to the Burlington County Times, the drill scenario described intruders as "members of a right-wing fundamentalist group called the 'New Crusaders' who do not believe in separation of church and state."

The storyline also says the mock terrorists were angry because the daughter of one gunman was expelled from school for praying in class. The drill "specified that two armed men invade the high school . . . shoot several students in the hallways, then barricade themselves in the media center with 10 student hostages."

Not surprisingly, Christian students, parents, and local pastors were upset about Christians being portrayed this way, and conservative media outlets expressed outrage. In response, Burlington township and school officials claimed the scenario was "generic" and did not specify any particular religion.

Oh, please. This is like garbing the police in Arab headdresses, naming them the "New Jihadists," and then claiming the scenario had nothing to do with Islam. Nor is this the first time schools have run drills featuring Christian terrorists. Three years ago, a school district in Muskegon County, Michigan, had a similar drill. The terrorists in that case were called "Wackos Against Schools and Education" - homeschooling nuts who detonate a bomb on a school bus.

These drills are more than troubling. They deliberately ignore reality:

The killers who have struck at schools - or who attempt to -
are either Islamic radicals or disturbed students who are angry at other students or teachers.

Ironically, school districts probably stick the terrorism label on Christians in part because they are too afraid of what Islamic radicals may do if they dare suggest that Muslims might actually be the ones they have to worry about.

These drills are also disturbing in that they are giving impressionable kids an ugly and distorted picture of Christian believers: that we are crazed killers who go after anyone who crosses us. While I suspect older kids will roll their eyes at this depiction, younger children may well absorb the message that Christians really are dangerous.

We ought to protest that message wherever we see it - especially when the mainstream media ignores it, as they have in this case. But we should also be proactive in terms of what message kids do absorb about our faith. We should reach out to local, unchurched kids, offering after-school tutoring, game and movie nights, and camping trips.

There is nothing like knowing a few real followers of Jesus for kids to realize that neighborhood Christians are not murderous wackos, but indeed are followers of the Prince of Peace.
