Iraqi Blowback

Victor Davis Hanson has written one of most ill conceived titles to an awesome essay. “Iraqi Blowback” is more an exposé on the ludicrous guilty verdict of Scooter Libby than the Blowback of bad decisions made in not making a viable victory and exit strategy from Iraq.

If Democracy Fails in Iraq, the Next Step is Not a Pull-Out

Here is a theme to think of: Encouraging elections in the Middle East where Mohammedans are dominant backfired on America. Caroline Glick writes a perceptive article on how the Bush Administration had the correct motives but lack the correct understanding of hatred and violence that pervades Mohammedan culture.

This pervasive hatred will not work in a Democracy. Democratic elections in lands of hatred and violence will elect officials that perpetuate hatred and violence. The Palestine Authority elections are example of that. The Iraqi elections are an example of that.

Palestinians elected terrorists that wish to destroy Israel. Iraqis voted for their tribal/familial/religious-sect over stable unity. Thus many Sunnis and Shias are unified on one idea: listen to the Imam. If the Imam says America is an occupying force rather than a liberating force, then it must be so.

America should have found a strong man to support in Iraq that was dedicated to slowly transforming toward Democracy. That was unlikely to happen.

The Bush Administration is left with only one choice: To extricate as many insurgents and rebels from Iraq as possible then leave. Then wait and see where the chips may fall. If America gets lucky it will fall on an Iraqi leader that courts favor from America. I think the chips will fall into a tri-nation scenario that some believe will cause chaos. I do not necessarily believe that. America could ally with one or two of the tri-nation States. I suspect the Shi’ite region is simply to close to Iran. That leaves primarily the Kurds and potentially the Sunnis.

There is “NO Live to Fight another Day” for Israel

Early in my Christian faith Hal Lindsey was “the man” in which I filtered Last Days information into my mind. As time has gone by have come to realize Lindsey is a bit speculative with his conclusions subject to theological criticism. Nonetheless, Lindsey is an ardent supporter of Israel. Lindsey is also pretty good with a Christian perspective of Current Events.

Lindsey brings up an excellent point that many pro-Israel secular writers have perceived: If the Mohammedans lose, they can recuperate for another day of battle.
If Israel loses one war, it will be a genocidal devastation that will terminate Israel’s existence.

There are great stirrings in the Middle East none of which are a positive light for Israel. All the Arab and Mohammedan plans for Middle Eastern peace if accepted by Israel would lead to both physical and spiritual suicide.

A Thought Crimes Act

The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 (H.R. 1592) would be better labeled The Thought Crimes Act. If the Law is enacted Christians can be sued or tossed in jail for preaching the morality of the Holy Bible. The Thought Crimes Act would suppress free speech to the benefit of homosexual reprobates that practice a lifestyle of abomination in the site of God.

The Act quite possibly could be used to nullify State Legislation that has defined Marriage as between a male and a female. It would recognize homosexuals as a group of people on the same par of equality as gender, race, creed and religion. This is a bogus legislation that would transform America into a nation of further sexual depravity protected by the law.

Arab World Reports Anti-Israel Rumors as Fact

Rumors are often regarded as fact in the Middle East in regard to anything negative about Israel. Anti-Israeli and anti-Jewish rumors are spread all the time. Prominent Mohammedan media outlets pick up the rumors and report them as fact.

An example of this irresponsible Mohammedan journalism is the latest and hottest rumor to date:
Israeli melons distributed in Saudi Arabia are infected with AIDS.

"Beware of Israeli melons infected with AIDS arriving in Saudi Arabia!" is the latest rumor being spread throughout Saudi Arabia like a wildfire.

An SMS message being sent around the country this week said, "The Saudi Interior Ministry warns its citizens of a truck loaded with AIDS infected melons that Israel brought into the country via a 'ground corridor.'"

The Interior Minister's spokesman General Mansour al Turki responded to news of the message and made it clear to a-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper that the Ministry "did not issue any such announcement. This is just a rumor."

This is not the first rumor to spread through the country recently. Just last month another rumor had it that sweets containing carcinogenic flour were being sold in many stores.

Al Turki urged the public to ignore such passing rumors, and said that the authorities were doing everything in their power to ensure the citizens' wellbeing.

Head of the center for chemicals and toxins in Mecca, Dr Ahmad Elias also stressed that there was no truth to these rumors.

"The center is the first official body that would receive such information, if it were true, in order to investigate and inform the relevant bodies to take the necessary steps," said Elias.

"The HIV virus cannot survive in any temperature other than that of the human body, which cannot be reached in fruits," he explained.

The rumor, despite being denied several times, has gained so much steam in the Arab world that it made it to the front page of one of the most important Arabic language newspapers.

Many received an SMS supposedly from the Saudi Interior Ministry saying, "Please forward quickly."

Public School Christophobia

I am on an email list that is a copious source of information. It is called the Blind Conservatives.

This email was sent by Jan. I am not sure as to where she (or he?) found it. The reason this article written by Mark Earley is so important is because it demonstrates a Christophobia agenda by America’s Public School System.

There is an anti-Christian agenda by Leftists and Secular Humanists in this country. It is so outrageous that Americans are willing to portray Christians as a backward group bent on preventing progress in America. The fact is Christian American Patriots had been the bedrock of the moral fiber in America until the 1960’s began infusing the cancer cells of Secular Humanism.

The real enemy the school systems across America should be teaching about radical Islamism, even if there is an outcry from Mohammedans residing in America. If America took a greater stand to educate Americans of the agenda of radical Islam, then Mohammedans would have to make serious public choices: Either publicly repudiate the barbarity of radical Islam or flock to the streets in support of radical Islam.

Either way, Americans would have a greater cogent understanding of who is and who is not an enemy.

Are Christians Terrorists? What Schools Are Teaching Our Kids

Mark Earley

Note: This commentary was delivered by Prison Fellowship President Mark Earley.

Two-and-a-half years ago, Islamic terrorists took 1,200 people hostage at a school in the Russian city of Beslan. They ultimately slaughtered 344 people, including 186 children. The attack brought back memories of the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School, in which two disaffected students shot to death twelve classmates and a teacher.

It is no surprise, then-especially after September 11-that a New Jersey school district felt the need to practice anti-terrorism drills. What shocked students was who the mock terrorists were supposed to be: homeschooling Christian fundamentalists.

It's another example of how openly those hostile to any forms of Christianity express their contempt.

The anti-terrorism drill was organized by the Burlington Township Police Department. According to the Burlington County Times, the drill scenario described intruders as "members of a right-wing fundamentalist group called the 'New Crusaders' who do not believe in separation of church and state."

The storyline also says the mock terrorists were angry because the daughter of one gunman was expelled from school for praying in class. The drill "specified that two armed men invade the high school . . . shoot several students in the hallways, then barricade themselves in the media center with 10 student hostages."

Not surprisingly, Christian students, parents, and local pastors were upset about Christians being portrayed this way, and conservative media outlets expressed outrage. In response, Burlington township and school officials claimed the scenario was "generic" and did not specify any particular religion.

Oh, please. This is like garbing the police in Arab headdresses, naming them the "New Jihadists," and then claiming the scenario had nothing to do with Islam. Nor is this the first time schools have run drills featuring Christian terrorists. Three years ago, a school district in Muskegon County, Michigan, had a similar drill. The terrorists in that case were called "Wackos Against Schools and Education" - homeschooling nuts who detonate a bomb on a school bus.

These drills are more than troubling. They deliberately ignore reality:
The killers who have struck at schools - or who attempt to -
are either Islamic radicals or disturbed students who are angry at other students or teachers.
Ironically, school districts probably stick the terrorism label on Christians in part because they are too afraid of what Islamic radicals may do if they dare suggest that Muslims might actually be the ones they have to worry about.

These drills are also disturbing in that they are giving impressionable kids an ugly and distorted picture of Christian believers: that we are crazed killers who go after anyone who crosses us. While I suspect older kids will roll their eyes at this depiction, younger children may well absorb the message that Christians really are dangerous.

We ought to protest that message wherever we see it - especially when the mainstream media ignores it, as they have in this case. But we should also be proactive in terms of what message kids do absorb about our faith. We should reach out to local, unchurched kids, offering after-school tutoring, game and movie nights, and camping trips.

There is nothing like knowing a few real followers of Jesus for kids to realize that neighborhood Christians are not murderous wackos, but indeed are followers of the Prince of Peace.

CHANGE TO A FLAT TAX

The deadline for filing tax forms to the IRS is up in a few days. America’s progressive income tax code is confusing and oppressive to tax payers; particularly the tax payers who are overwhelmed by IRS expectations in tracking expenditures for deductions to try and catch a break in the percentage of the fruit of their labor seized by the government.

A Flat Tax is the only fair and balanced solution to the IRS tax code.

Here is
one view of a Flat Tax.

Here is
another perspective promoting a Flat Tax.
