Huckabee: A Deadlocked Convention is My Goal

Huckabee still has a strategy to win the Republican nomination. Huckabee’s strategy is to pick up enough delegates to keep McCain from the magic number of a first ballot nomination – 1,191.

Even if McCain leads in the delegate count, if it is less than 1,191 then the Republican Convention goes into extra ballots.

Huckabee’s new strategy is totally contingent on being successful in Texas and Ohio.

Here is a WND article about Huckabee being positive about his prospects to overcome the front runner John McCain. Although I am posting this WND article somebody at WND’s tech side screwed up. It is dated December 31, 1969. I doubt that Huckabee was eligible to vote least of all to run for President then. So the article is about Huckabee’s strategy but the cite link may be removed once someone figures out the error. Hopefully someone will just update the page and leave the link in place.
